Making a splash in the village

In what marked a first collaboration Medlock has recently worked alongside national operator Village Hotels to deliver a dazzling refresh of the pool facilities at their site in Dudley.

Operating 33 venues across the UK the chain offers visitors a whole host of on-site amenities ranging from well-appointed sleeping accommodation, the all day dining Pub & Grill restaurant, V-Club flex-workspace and high specification gym and spa facilities.

With over 100,000 fitness club members nationally Village Hotels are committed to a strategic refurbishment and maintenance programme to consolidate their position as one of the UK’s leading health and wellness operators.

Our works consisted of upgrades to the pool areas in readiness for the influx of January gym-goers looking to kick start their new year’s resolutions. Recognising the limited window of opportunity to implement these important upgrades the Medlock team worked closely with the hotel operations teams to deliver the works to a strict programme ensuring as little disruption to members as possible.

As part of the scope we introduced new LED lighting, replaced feature vinyl signage and developed a bespoke tile specification in line with Village Hotel branding to totally refresh the pool area to help retain and attract further health club members as part of their wider growth strategy plans for 2024 and beyond.
