Two fit-outs a cut above the rest for Miller & Carter

When it comes to fine dining, it’s hard to beat a high-quality, perfectly cooked steak. Medlock has been selected to deliver two fit-outs and refurbishments for premium steakhouse brand Miller & Carter in Sheffield and North Shields.

Owned by national operator Mitchells & Butlers, Miller & Carter is a brand renowned for offering some of the finest steak cookery available in the UK. Awarded ‘The Masters of Steak’ award from the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs, they offer fine food, signature cocktails and memorable dining experiences from Aberdeen to Plymouth.

In Sheffield city centre, we’ll be taking a former Halifax bank and performing a complete floor-to-ceiling renovation. The building dates back to 1893 but has stood empty since 2017. The former banking hall and basement area will make up the restaurant retail space and a twenty-bedroom Innkeeper’s Lodge hotel will be delivered above with en-suite bathrooms for every room.

130 miles up the M1 in North Shields, we’ll be converting a former Harvester into a more upmarket offering, delivering a fit-out that reflects the quality and ambience expected of the Miller & Carter brand.
