Steeped in history and with an interesting story behind its name, The Bleeding Wolf is a stunning grade II listed building we’re excited to get started on. Thanks to our fantastic relationship with Robinsons, we’ve been brought on board to breathe new life into this fantastic pub. We’ll be stepping into this iconic building to begin alteration, extension, and refurbishment works on the 23rd of November. We will complete this beautiful venue on 8 February 2021. Located in Cheshire, The Bleeding Wolf is a pub with a rich, interesting history behind its name. Taken from an old legend, the story goes that Adam de Lauton was gifted land by the Earl of Chester in return from rescuing him from a vicious attack from a wounded, bleeding wolf.  More than a legend, an 1838 tithe map shows a long building with a lane to the south named ‘Bleeding Wolf Lane’. There’s also an 1875 ordnance survey map that shows a pub that just so happened to be named ‘The Bleeding Wolf’. A rich and interesting history indeed; we’re over the moon to be involved in giving this pub a new lease on life. Many of this amazing building’s features will remain intact, such as its stunning thatched roof, stained-glass windows, and decorative walls. We’ll also be rejuvenating the cellar, a staple of the old pub, and creating a manager’s accommodation. On top of that, we will create outside eating and drinking areas ready for next summer, serviced by the new and improved kitchen facilities. The indoor eating area will also be extended to accommodate more guests for those colder months. We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses, so check back regularly to see how The Bleeding Wolf comes together. [custom_show_gallery]
