We wish the Society team every success with this exciting venture.
Medlock has completed the build and fit–out of Manchester’s Barbirolli square. The transformation of a former bar/restaurant into Society MCR - a market hall drinking, dining and music experience, has seen the old venue given a new lease of life as it reopens to the public.
Located next to popular landmarks such as Bridgewater Hall and the Midland hotel, the venue will attract a healthy footfall of eager revellers ready to sample the eclectic choice of street food and sample the home-brewed craft beers and signature cocktails from Vocation brewery.
Working closely with Manchester-based architects 5Plus, Medlock fitted out the new venue for hospitality trailblazers, Richard Sweet and Nick Gregory over at Pop City. Having already built a reputation for regenerating existing spaces into food-and-drink led community hubs, Society is their latest offering.
The modern dining experience is made up of five individual open-plan kitchen areas, a spacious communal dining area and an eye-catching mezzanine for a more private space.
