Medlock is delighted to handover the refurbishment of a number of areas at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) to coincide with the start of the new academic year.

Situated at the former Liverpool Institute High School for Boys where Beatles stars Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison attended secondary school, LIPA is one of the UK’s leading performing arts centres offering degree standard qualifications across a number of disciplines including dance, theatre, music and production.

We fully refurbished the building reception area and post room to dramatically improver the visitor welcome featuring a bespoke reception desk manufactured from our workshop.

There was a further refresh of one of the rehearsal rooms to enhance the acoustic quality of the space along with revamps to both the male and female toilets.

The works were completed in 8 weeks utilising the summer holiday window for the bulk of the main modification works to ensure least amount of disruption to students and staff.
