Two projects delivered for The Light Cinema

Medlock is pleased to hand over a pair of fantastic projects for one of the UK’s foremost cinema chains, the Light at Banbury and Stockport.

In Banbury, we delivered the fit-out of a new entertainment complex at the canal side Castle Quay shopping centre, marking The Light’s twelfth opening in the UK.

Taking possession of an empty shell, the fit-out of the seven-screen cinema includes an array of exciting leisure offerings that ensures the venue will be the go-to choice for family entertainment in Oxfordshire. A 10-lane bowling arcade, mini-golf, retro games arcade, interactive darts, karaoke booths, a climbing wall, and a diner will ensure the site will bring something truly unique to the area and keep guests both young and old entertained for years to come.

At Stockport, we added ten lanes of interactive bowling to the present cinema and entertainment offering at the Redrock leisure complex.

Having acquired the adjoining three retail units, our scope of work included the fit-out of the new bowling lanes, a new bar and concessions area, a new retro games arcade, interactive darts, karaoke booths and alterations to the existing cinema entrance to allow access to the new bowling facilities.

These projects mark the first collaboration with The Light for Medlock and we look forward to working alongside them again in the future as their burgeoning estate grows.
